Houston - Europe Day Celebration May 15

Networking Event

Europe Day is the EU’s official day to celebrate peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historical 'Schuman declaration', which set out the French foreign minister’s idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe. It is considered to be the beginning of what is now the European Union. To celebrate this day, the European Chambers of Commerce in Houston organize an elegant and high-profile evening reception, which brings together the members from the German, Spanish, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish, Danish, French and Italian Chambers of Commerce.

With the participation of:

  • The Honorable Sylvester Turner, Mayor of Houston
  • The Honorable Thomas Meister, Consul General of Germany
  • A discussion between Damien Levie, Head of Trade and Agriculture Section, Delegation of the European Union to the US in Washington, and Horacio Licon, Vice President, International Investment & Trade, Greater Houston Partnership, moderated by Bob Charlet, Market President & Publisher, Houston Business Journal.
