 Karin Olofsdotter 

Ambassador of Sweden to the United States 

Her Excellency Karin Olofsdotter took up her post as Ambassador of Sweden to the United States in 2017. She started her career in the Foreign Service in 1994 at the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow, then worked with security policy and defense issues within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and also served as part of the Swedish delegation to NATO and at the Swedish EU Representation in Brussels. In 2008, Ambassador Olofsdotter was asked to serve as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, DC, before starting her first ambassadorial position as Ambassador of Sweden to Hungary in 2011. She is the first female Swedish Ambassador to the US. 

 


Pia Orrenius
Vice President and Senior Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas

Pia Orrenius is a labor economist working on regional economic growth and demographic change. She manages the regional and microeconomics group in the Dallas Fed Research Department and is executive editor of the publication Southwest Economy. She is affiliated with several academic institutions including Southern Methodist University and her academic research focuses on the labor market impacts of immigration, unauthorized immigration, and U.S. immigration policy. In 2004– 05, Pia was senior economist on the Council of Economic Advisers in the Executive Office of the President in Washington D.C., where she advised the administration on labor, health and immigration issues. 


Barbara Baffer
Vice President, Government & Industry Relations, Ericsson 


Barbara Baffer has been with Ericsson for 32 years and currently leads Ericsson’s regulatory and legislative advocacy efforts in the U.S. and Canada. She serves and represents Ericsson on a number of boards and executive committees, such as Tech Titans, CTIA’s Wireless Association Foundation, the 5G Americas Board of Governors, the Board of the Telecommunications Industry Association, and the Executive Committee of the Information Technology Industry Council. Barbara is also a Board Member and Treasurer of the Collin County Business Alliance. She has won the Dallas Business Journal’s “Women in Technology Award”, and has also been a technology judge for the past six years. 


Helanie Scott
CEO, Align4Profit 


Entrepreneur and human capital consultant Helanie Scott is a change agent, transformation specialist, team developer, and coach who connects with her audiences in the boardroom, classroom, on stage, or in one-on-one coaching sessions. She helps engage and freshen outdated mindsets in business, and her facilitation and training style deliver results-oriented, multicultural, aligned action. Backed by psychological research, Helanie has developed a number of proprietary leadership tools including The Magnetic Power of Leadership Intimacy, the Six Attraction Powers, and a CoachQuest Leader-as-Coach program. She is also a new board member of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Texas.
