Cities are increasingly adopting carbon targets and requiring commercial building owners to disclose green building performance to tenants\, buyers\, and in some cases the public. Building owners are set to manage larger buildings remotely with third-party service companies and software to detect system failures and manage energy consumption\, all by drawing on the cloud and using a phone. Meanwhile\, demand in the existing building market is increasing as energy efficiency retrofits are becoming available.
