Do NOT miss our last event before the summer this Thursday! SACC-Dallas Speaker series.

Entrepreneurship, Startup Culture and Innovation will be the exciting theme for the next SACC Dallas Speaker Series event on June 15 at University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).

We are very happy to welcome guest speaker Jeremy Vickers and a panel of selected startup companies from Dallas to share and discuss their view on why Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) is growing into one of the most entrepreneur-friendly and innovative regions in the US.

We will start the evening with mingle, dinner and drinks followed by Jeremy’s insight on what makes the DFW region a leader, what is happening behind the scenes, who the players are and how to capitalize on the growing ecosystem. After Jeremy’s presentation, there will be a two panelist startup companies sharing their view and after that open the floor for questions and discussion.

Jeremy Vickers is the Dean of the College of Professional Studies at Dallas Baptist University (DBU) where he leads the expansion and growth efforts of innovative degrees and programs to serve adults and working professionals across North Texas.

Previously, Jeremy has worked as Executive Director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UTD where he led e team focused on cross campus startup activity and entrepreneurship curriculum, raising funds for and creating several student entrepreneurship programs.

Jeremy also served as the Vice President of Innovation at the Dallas Regional Chamber where he led strategy and program implementation to support building the North Texas Innovation ecosystem.

Cybersecurity will cost global businesses US$1 trillion this year according to Zartech Inc. How safe and secure is Your company?

That is a question for Zartech Inc, one of our startup company joining us for the panel after the presentation by Jeremy Vickers on Thursday.

Our guest Abu Sadeq is the Founder and CEO of Zartech, a cybersecurity products and advisory services company which was founded in June 2016 here in Dallas. Zartech empowers businesses to gain greater cybersecurity maturity by using data-driven analysis and industry best practices to transform and make impactful business decisions.

Our second guest SACC - Texas member Anders Hultman and the company he started with his colleague Alex Rankin.

Their company focuses on some other very important but sometimes difficult issues for companies. Building and managing systems for collection, recycling, re-marketing and secure destruction of branded work wear, customer returns and product recalls.

We can not wait to hear Anders and Abu share their story on starting a company in Dallas
.

The venue itself is well worth mentioning and very suitable for the theme of the evening: The Blackstone Launchpad at UTD hosts the campus-based entrepreneurship program, accessible by over half a million students globally. It is designed to support and mentor students, staff and alumni regardless of their major, experience or discipline.
