Nordic Entrepreneurship at SMU: Cox Caruth Institute x University of Gothenburg
From University Knowledge to Societal Impact: NordicTX Talks & Conversations
Join us at Southern Methodist University on Thursday, November 5, 2026, for an afternoon of Nordic entrepreneurship and cross-Atlantic collaboration. The SMU Cox Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the University of Gothenburg and the Nordic Texas Initiative, invites you to a program of plenary talks and conversations on how universities can turn knowledge into real-world impact.
Hear from Michael H. Morris (University of Notre Dame) on universities as agents of social change, and Donald Siegel (Arizona State University) on pro-social technology transfer and academic entrepreneurship. Then join the Sweden–Texas case conversation with Suku Nair (SMU) and Lorna Fletcher (GU Ventures, University of Gothenburg), followed by a closing conversation on what universities should do next.
It’s a chance to meet students, researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals from the Nordic and Texas business communities, and to build connections across both ecosystems.
