Kristien has been with IKEA for 25 years, starting in Belgium as a Department Head before moving to China to serve as a Purchasing Manager for IKEA Trading Shanghai. With a Masters in Chinese Studies from the University of Leuven, Belgium, and an MBA from the Henley Management Institute, Kristien has extensive experience as both a store manager and a sales leader on the regional and national level. She speaks 5 languages (Dutch, English, French, Chinese, German), has traveled to 6 continents for work and leisure, and has published a book about her experience on a 1991 women's expedition along the Great Wall of China.
